I lead product marketing for TiDB Cloud and PingCAP's other offerings.
Before PingCAP, I was at Gartner leading growth for their Peer Platforms, back when the Growth PM title itself was still new. I have always enjoyed getting into the depths of a new subject and persisting until I completely get it. I'm doing something similar again now, in AI-search product marketing, at a moment when the rules of search are still being rewritten.
Day to day, I run AEO, content systems, and PLG strategy, usually some mix of all three depending on the week. I work directly with product, engineering, and design to turn what the product can actually do into content our audience can find and understand.
What I love about marketing
If a product actually solves a problem, it deserves to reach the person it can help. Getting a real solution in front of the right buyer, and making their life or work a little easier, is the most satisfying part of the job. That's been true for me no matter the channel or the trend of the moment.
Why this, why now
Strong technical products shouldn't lose because the narrative around them fails. Too many still do. What's changed is that AI systems now evaluate, and often act, on a buyer's behalf, not just the buyer themselves. So that narrative has to work for both now, or the right solution never reaches whoever actually needs it.
Outside of work
I'm a mom to a one-year-old, based in the Bay Area, figuring out new motherhood one day at a time. I'm also quietly exploring what else I might build of my own, nothing fixed yet. If that's something you're thinking about too, I'd genuinely love to talk.
